I wasn’t created for a regular 9-5.
I believe that with all of my heart and soul… I feel it in my
spirit. That’s not my path.
Whenever I would sit back and think or try to “find” myself as
people would say, my dream was never to sit behind a desk all day
doing repetitive tasks or anything like that. I’ve always daydreamed
about being my own boss, and creating…whatever my heart desired.
But of course in this age of the Independent Woman (side eye),
many folks think you’re not doing anything with yourself if you’re
not leaving the house at the crack of dawn, only to return home at
dusk all for the sake of a dollar. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s
nothing wrong with having a great work ethic or whatever. But if you
feel that that’s the path for you, don’t try to throw that
coat on everyone else.
I’m well aware that money has to be made and bills have to be
paid, but there’s more than one way to make money (legally, lol), and
there’s more to life than just money and materialistic things.
What good is it to go to a job you hate, to make a dollar when you
can do something you love and make a dollar? I’ll take the latter for
four hundred, Alex.
In my opinion, everything has a market. Whatever gift or talent
God has blessed you with, there’s a market for it. The thing about it
is simply finding and catering to your market, and not trying to do
what everyone else is doing to reach out and draw their market. Just
like our gifts are unique to us, so must our approach be.
I believe the first and most obvious step would be to pray and ask
for God’s guidance. Asking Him what it is that he wants you to do
with that gift. Because He gave it to you, so who would know better
than Him? If we would simply ask Him and let Him lead us instead of
our own selfish ambition, then things will be revealed, doors will be
opened and you won’t have to stress about how to do this or that.
He’ll guide us.
Proverbs 18:16 says, “A mans gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”
I truly believe it. When you’re in God’s will, doors will be opened
and things will start happening for you that you didn’t have to
stress or work like a dog to have happen. It’s simply called FAVOR,
because God rewards obedience.
been blessed with many gifts, and I’m definitely being prayerful
about how God wants me to use them. I know he will reveal it to me…
once I stop allowing myself to get distracted. Lol
